Location & History

Mount Baker sits along the western shore of Lake Washington, just south of Leschi and north of Columbia City. Named after the iconic mountain visible on clear days, the neighborhood was developed in the early 1900s as a streetcar suburb, and many homes still reflect that period’s classic architecture.

Real Estate Snapshot

Mount Baker is known for its beautiful early 20th-century architecture—Craftsmans, Tudors, and Mediterranean-style homes line the hilly streets. Larger lots, mature trees, and historic charm define the area. While not inexpensive, buyers often see Mount Baker as a more serene alternative to North Seattle’s busier residential zones.
